Sunday

Wow, I havn't been updating this blogger. Sorry guys. I've been really busy these past few days with school work and trying to finish off the last few days of school left. I got a few tests coming up before the final which sucks a lot. Why do they do that? Sigh. In addition to my school work, I've been working on my portfolio website. It is still under construction. I'll try to keep you guys updated on what I'm doing with my life and all. Thanks for checking in. By the way, I get my new lens in a few days! Yes! I will also be hearing from Berkeley as well! Good luck to myself!

Long ass weekend

I started the weekend off by taking pictures of the 2008 CSUF Spring Concert featuring New Found Glory, The Academy Is... and DJ Alf Alpha. These were all great performers. I got to go all around the stage taking pictures and meeting the performers. I also got my buddy Chris a press pass. I said he was my assistant. I would have gotten in 2 more people if anyone else told me they wanted a pass too. But after the concert, me and DJ Alf Alpha went to my friend Jessika's party and chilled there for a bit. Got home at like 1 am hella tired.

I had to wake up at 6 am to go to another event at CSUF, the Social Justice Summit. I was volunteering and taking photos. They talked about social issues such as racism, poverty, human trafficing, and other issues concerned around the world. They served vegan food from "Wheel of Life." I believe the restaurant is at Irvine. The food was really delicious and is worth checking out. The keynote speakers, Suheir Hammad and Staceyann Chin were very amazing. If you want more information about the Summit, check out the Fullerton's website : Social Justice Summit The summit is a annual event, so if you missed this event, you'll be able to attend it next year.

I left the summit for another event and got home around 4:20 to get ready. Then left my house at 4:30 pm to St. Mary's in LA for my friend Gabbie's PCN. The show was pretty entertaining and very long. I got a few good shots of Gabbie that I might post later on this week. After the long PCN started from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm, we went to pick up food at a 24 hr Subway at around 1:00 am cause people took forever to clean up and get ready for a party. After we got our food, we headed over to a party off of Sunset Blvd. Did not get home till 6 am.

If you're from CSUF, check out the Daily Titan tomorrow, Monday, April 21 for some of the pictures I took from the concert.

I'm a work of art

Photobucket
I forgot to post this picture with the others in the previous post. We walked out one of the buildings in LACMA and this security guard asked me if I was taking pictures of works of art. I thought I was in trouble or something, until he said, "I'm a work of art" and posed. hahaha, I cracked up. So I brought up my camera to my eye, and he posed again. What a funny guy.

Some new pictures

So this past Sunday I opened up some time around my busy schedule to do some shooting. I started with some practice with sports. Went to Mikey's game at 12:00 PM.

After the game, I went home to watch the Lakers vs Spurs game. Whoot Lakers won! AFter the game, me, Mikey and Kathy went to LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) and drove around LA. My favorite exhibition of the museum was the Modern/Contemprary art. Too bad I was not able to take photographs in that area because it was a private exhibition. If you want more information check out LACMA's website LACMA.org
I'll start off some pictures with Kathy and Mikey modeling, sort of.

Alright, here are some pictures of miniture sculptures that I thought were amazing. They were like the size of chess pieces and very detailed in the design. This was from the Japanese art area. There were like hundreds of these little works of art. Quite amazing.
