Euro Car Meet

Went to the European car meet at Irvine Spectrum. I didn't take a lot of pictures I hoped I would, but I only took pictures that I thought were worth taking.

The meet kinda got boring so me and a few friends decided to walk around Irvine Spectrum. It was a good night to take some shots.

Ate Korean BBQ in Garden Grove after. Man was I stuffed! All you can eat! yum.

Reunited and it feels so good....

Havn't seen any of these guys in a long time, but we reunited at my brother's bbq on Saturday. Good times... everyone was drunk like always, but I wasn't. I'm proud of myself. Wish the other homies made it, but they were out of town. I'll try to post some more pictures from that night.

Photobucket

The picture was taken with a Nikon on a tripod with an external flash. And I'm on the far right of the picture. That's what I look like on the other side of the camera.

Edit:
Alright, here are some of the pictures from that night.

Richard's BBQ

Just came back home from my brother's BBQ, had some bomb food that he made. Quite a chef... I took a lot of pictures that I will definitely post when I have time, either tomorrow or Monday. Tomorrow I will be shooting for one of my good friend's basketball game. After the game, I'll be heading towards Irvine for a Euro car meet and hopefully I'll have some great shots from that too.

Spring Break Starts!!!

Alright... so spring break starts today! Finally! Shiieetttttt. Well I still have to do a lot of school work during the break which still sucks. But the bright side is that school ends in May 16. Which is almost coming up.

Back to the spring break... I'll be posting daily, or atleast I'll try to since, yenno, I have a social life and I'm always out and all. Hopefully I'll be heading to San Diego and Los Angeles. Let me show you how I've been living since the semester started.

!

Alright, I'll finally post another picture I took from the observatory before I head to school. I hate waking up at 5:30 AM every morning for a 8:00 AM class. But anyways, here is another shot from the Griffith Park Observatory, enjoy.
Photobucket
I kinda messed around with the white balance, thats where I got that orange color. This is a picture wide open straight from my camera. I believe it was shot with a 55-200 mm.

I'll have more to come, so stay tuned!

Thanks for visiting!

UPS came!

Yup yup. Just received my 50mm! Unfortunately I will not be able to take a lot of pictures until next week when my SPRING BREAK starts! I'll be heading to LA frequently, maybe, or possibly to the coastal areas and catch the sunsets. Romantic. I know, I am. But in the mean time, here's a picture of a helicopter taken at the observatory with a 55-200mm by my brother. Random...

LA

Alright, so I stayed up pretty late to get this panoramic together. So here is a picture of LA like I said I would post up. I wouldn't have done it without the help of Jeff's tripod, thanks again. More to come, hopefully.

A Day in LA

Today, or yesterday "technically" was a load of fun. Skyler, my newphew turned five and had his birthday bash at a train museum at the Griffith Park. Ate tons of pizza which killed my diet, but oh wells, it was good. I took some shots of old trains and hopefully I can be able to post some up sometime later since I'm trying to convert my files from RAW into JPEG. After the party, my brother and I went to the Griffith Observatory and took more photos! But these will have to wait. Thanks to my cousin Jeff I was able to borrow his professional tripod which I still need to get.

Keep checking my site for updates on pictures!

Jam Sesh

I just got back from a jam session with an awesome band. I don't want to say the name of the band yet as they are secretly rising from the underground scene. There were no cameras allowed in this closed session, but I was able to sneak in my camera and test out my new gear. Look out for this in the upcoming years as they become rich and famous. Just remember their faces! Some of you might even recognize these people, just don't bug them for autographs...

Friday

Wasn't able to go very far to take pictures. I've been busy this week and will continue to be very busy the following. But I got some new toys for my camera! Anyways, I'm going to cut this short cause I need to get back to studying on a Friday night and wanted to post this before I get into the mood.

Sad day, yet another happy camper.

Many of you Fullerton fans probably know this... We lost the NCAA basketball game against Wisconsin tonight. Titan Tusk Force, part of ASI hosted the game show at the TSU Underground with free food and giveaways. The score was 71 to 56. Even though it seems like a big gap, the game was intense, the last 5 minutes of the game, Josh Akognon, our star player with 31 points 8 rebounds and 3 steals, shooting 3s all day; yet, Wisconsin kept pulling away. Although this was a big loss for Fullerton, it was a great victory as Fullerton finally coming into the finals since 30 years ago. Just know that we'll be coming back next season. If you want to read more about the game: Click

I'll be cheering for UCLA!

On the brighter note, Lakers won over Utah 106 to 95 with Pau Gasol injured still and Kobe Bryant with 27 points.

Happy camper!

Nikon vs. Canon

For those who are thinking about getting a new DSLR and don't know which one to get, you might want to read this article Nikon vs Canon by Ken Rockwell. It's a good read, and well worth it if you are deciding to fall into photography and want a DSLR. I myself have Nikon D80 and I prefer it over Canon's because of the ergonomics. But I can't compare the functionalities between the two as I've never owned a Canon before; so I'll leave it to Ken Rockwell to explain everything. Which ever way you go, Nikon or Canon, you won't regret your puchase.

Cheers!

Finally got some shots of the student rec center. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take pictures of people working out for some reason??? Well the rec center is pretty cool, consisting of raquetball courts, basketball, volleyball, a track, tredmills with individual lcd screens with cable, and too many rooms to count, rock climbing wall, and many more! You'll just have to check it for yourself. Anyways here's a shot from the outside.
Photobucket
And here's the shot of the rock climbing wall.
PhotobucketI'll give the rec center a 4 out of 5.

What a day.
